Spotted Cushions from Oakshott

Just ‘spotted’ this modern cushion pattern from Oakshott fabrics.  As someone presently in the market for new interior furnishing, but who doesn’t like the ‘floral fancy’ type of cushion, this would be ideal for me, so I thought I’d share it with you too.

‘SPOT ON’ Appliqué Scatter Cushions are designed by Lesley Brankin and the pattern and instructions can be accessed free from Oakshott’s projects page at
These fun ‘mix and match’ cushions are both quick to make and a great way to showcase a collection of fabrics such as those in the delectable Oakshott Seasons range. Suitable for bonded or turned applique techniques combined with simple piecing

  1. They are lovely, Gail. You could also use plain calico or canvas, draw circles on it, then choose all your favourite threads and sew close parallel lines of the decorative stitches from your sewing machine . . . .

    or . . .

Come on someone – give Gail another possibility!!
