The aim of the Stitch Directory is to support and promote independent craft stores by highlighting their location, and what they do best, to help them attract new and returning business.

So, use this craft supplies directory to find textile shops near you.

Stitch Directory's Aims

The main objective of the Stitch Directory is to support independent retailers and suppliers of craft supplies. If your store falls into any of the below categories, consider adding your business to this art and craft directory for FREE:

Benefits to Businesses

At the School of Stitched Textiles, all our City and Guilds textile courses, along with our beginner online craft courses, require students to supply their own materials and equipment. As such, we are regularly asked about the best independent craft shops. Our Stitch Directory allows businesses to put their stores in front of an active community of shoppers, artists, makers and crafters.

Due to being completely FREE to use, haberdashery companies near you can add their listing and make regular amends at no cost.

Benefits to Artists

Artists and crafters can use the Stitch Directory to find stores and suppliers within their area. Type your location or product into the search and you’ll find textile shops near you.

Our craft supplies directory couldn’t be easier to use so find your local craft suppliers below.

Little Gem Felts

0.0
32 Elmsfield Avenue OL11 5XN
Description:

I make a variety of felt-based items, including shoulder bags, work bags, book covers and artwork and much more. The felt we use is made by us, mainly from merino wool.
I also dye some of my own fibres which I spin and then weave to incorporate into my bags. Some of these fibres are also carded into batts which can be used in a variety of projects.
One of the mainstays of our business is our needle-felting kits. These include wool fibres and instructions to enable crafters to create pictures and book-covers using needle-felting techniques.
We sell our products and kits on our own website and Etsy.

All of our felt-work is based on my unique designs and artwork. Every picture on every bag, book and artwork is unique and not duplicated. Similarly, every kit is developed from one of my pieces of art.

In normal times, we can be found at numerous craft shows and wool gatherings throughout the country, often demonstrating the craft and enabling people to participate. People are often surprised by the fact that they can produce beautiful pieces of work with no experience or artistic ability and using very simple equipment.
