10/9/2010 Level 2 Provision

Mmmm – been thinking about bringing in a lower course level in some subjects .  The new suite of courses by C&G give an interesting range of subjects and allow us to mix subjects as well, which may make for an interesting delivery.  If you’d like to check them out details are online at City & Guilds’ own site – addy is http://www.cityandguilds.com/

    I had a quick look at the C & G site. Do the Award/Certificate/Diploma relate to level 1, 2 and 3? Do the "Employability Units" go with the package as well? The textile units look interesting and varied. At the centre here in Wellington students had to produce one of their major pieces as a commercial possibility ie as well as producing their piece they had to make it into a kitset, or a class to teach, or something they could reproduce and sell. Quite a useful skill I think.
