1. Course Choice & Payment

4. Important Notes

If you are enrolling on a Diploma course (either Embroidery or Patchwork) and have completed your Level 3, we will ask you to send ue a digital or photocopy of your Level 3 certificate in order to enrol on your Diploma.

What happens next?

This depends on how you have chosen to study. You will either receive your course materials digitally via email within a few days, or if you have chosen to study by the postal method of sending work in and receiving printed copies of your modules, you will receive a parcel from us in the post, containing either one or three modules, depending on how many you have paid for, as well as packaging materials. This should be with you within 14 days (UK) of receipt of your enrolment/payment fee. When sending materials abroad it is difficult to estimate how long they may take as postage times vary so much. However if you wish we can always give a rough estimate at the time of enrolment.

What to do if you get stuck or are uncertain what to do?

Again this differs with the method you’ve chosen to study by – you have online or phone access to your tutor and all details will be made available to you in your course materials. For postal assessment you will be sent contact details for your tutor. E-mail is usually preferred by tutors as it gives them chance to look back over your work before answering your query, but we know phone is preferred by some students. Whichever way you choose to study you will always have the support of a fully qualified tutor so that you are able to clear up any problems or questions which may arise and continue with the course.

I have friends who may want to do the course at the same time, can this be arranged?

We have lots of enquiries from students who are members of groups and would like to enrol and study together. In this situation, where three or more students enrol and pay together to do the same course, we make a 15% discount on their course fees. Please contact us for further details if this may be of interest to you.

Are there any other costs apart from enrolment and course fees I need to pay?

If you choose to return work by post then you will have to pay for work to be returned to you and insured. The current charge for this can be found in the individual course information online. For those studying online there is no postage charge. We don’t have any gallery fees for your final exhibition of work, but at the end of C&G awards there is a small certification fee charged by C&G. Other than these the only costs are for any materials you decide to use during your course. This can be as frugal or expensive as you wish – it’s up to you.
