The School of Stitched Textiles is the distance learning business developed from running attended classes and workshops at Eccles Farm Needlecraft Centre.

We soon found that demand for our workshops far exceeded the numbers we were able to cope with here at the centre.

This led to us establishing the distance learning side of the business, called the School of Stitched Textiles, 12 years ago.

Our aim is to help those students who want to study textiles but are unable to find a suitable course local to them.

We currently have approximately 1,000 students studying with us from all corners of the globe, so we have lots of experience in what works for students studying at a distance.

We also have a very active research programme which monitors new developments in distance learning and how we can use them, to the best advantage for our students.
